Where do I start with Anna & Corey?

I met them when I posted on Instagram needing models for a couples session. On occasion, I love to get out and practice some new techniques in an environment where I can be a bit more creative and my couples know what to expect. Anna was very kind to suggest a spot that they walk regularly and it ended up being perfect for what we needed. The entire session was so easy and they photographed beautifully as a couple. I was absolutely thrilled with the results and the 3 of us meshed so well together. 7 months later and they announce their engagement (cue happy dance) and soon thereafter, Anna asks me if I am willing to drive to Kingston for their intimate wedding - the easiest yes for me!

Let me set the stage for Anna & Corey’s stunning wedding: A gorgeous sunny day in June on a beautiful farm. No sounds of the city, just an occasional neigh from the horses or distant joyous chatter of the arriving guests. The perfect setting for what was to come. Anna met Corey by the pond as they did their first look followed by their private vows (which has become increasingly popular and I’m ALL for it). Their ceremony site was secluded and simple and their tent was beautifully laid out with delicate greenery and white votive candles placed on long deep wood tables, inviting conversation and laughter from their guests. I can’t even decide my favourite aspect of the wedding: the live music, lawn games, the genuine emotion during dinner speeches or the stroll the three of us took at sunset across the property. The entire day felt like a giant extended family BBQ that just so happened to host a wedding. Every one of their guests made me feel so welcome. It was a day I wish I could relive all over again.

There’s something really special about hosting a wedding on a private property. There’s an ease and effortless feeling that trickles down to every guest’s face as they enjoy the day and it makes my job super fun because I get to capture all that emotion and love. When an entire family makes you feel like one of them, it allows so much creativity and freedom that everyone benefits - especially the couple! I can’t express enough how much this wedding has stayed with me. Truly the best day with the best people. Forever grateful that I get to do this life with the most amazing couples.
